Two more local mosquito traps have tested positive for West Nile Virus this time in Elgin County.

The traps were in the St. Thomas area, and at the Ivan Steen Conservation Area in Aylmer.

There have been reports of the virus detected in mosquitoes in other Ontario health units, including Middlesex-London, but these are the first mosquitoes to be detected with the virus this summer in the Elgin-St. Thomas area.
