London has officially set a new single-day temperature record.

At 4pm, temperatures at the London International Airport reached 34.6 degrees.

The original record of 34.4 was set back 48 years ago, in 1964.

The forecasted high for today according to Environment Canada is 36 degrees, feeling like 45 when you factor in the humidex values.
